WBOS Orchid Shows

Twice a year, our society proudly hosts spectacular Orchid Shows in the auditorium at the beautiful Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens - a celebration of colour, creativity, and the incredible diversity of orchids grown by our members.

Our twice yearly shows are held on a Saturday from 8.30am - 3pm, and Sunday 9.00am to 2pm, during both Autumn and Spring (dates change each year).

Cost

Entry cost is $4 and children are free.

Upcoming Spring Show - 12-13 September 2026

The Spring show is a special event as it is held in conjunction with The Australian Paphiopedilum Society (TAPs) with a percentage of the proceeds from this show being donated to a local charity.

• Cultural advice and potting demonstrations

• Orchid Supplies and accessories

• Plant sales from members and vendors

• Raffle

Venue

The Auditorium at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha is a beautiful event space set within 56 hectares of lush gardens, just 7 km from the city. Adjacent to the Visitor Centre, it offers garden and rainforest views, easy access, wheelchair access, public toilets and parking.
